Role Description

This is a full‑time on‑site role based in Essex for an Experienced Masonry Designer. The role involves designing and developing masonry solutions for a variety of construction projects. Key responsibilities include creating technical drawings, collaborating with architects and project teams, selecting and specifying materials, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring designs align with client specifications and project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed technical drawings for new build and restoration projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to develop masonry solutions.
  • Select appropriate materials and specify construction details.
  • Maintain adherence to UK construction regulations and safety standards.
  • Review and revise designs as required, ensuring high quality and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with on‑site teams to support construction execution.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Experience in masonry design for both new build and restoration projects.
  • Strong understanding of structural and construction principles with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with clients, architects, and project teams.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with UK construction regulations and standards related to masonry is an advantage.
  • Formal education in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (degree or equivalent qualification preferred).
