Job Responsibilities

Ensure safety-related documentation (Risk Assessments, Permits to Work, etc.) for all scheduled maintenance work are up to date and available.

Adhere to all safety-related documentation (Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, Permits to Work, etc.) for all maintenance activities.

Carry out plant Planned Preventative Maintenance as per the CMMS schedules and respond accordingly to all issues.

Maintain records of works completed and supporting processes.

Deliver continuous improvement projects/actions.

Support and train operatives to complete autonomous maintenance tasks.

Respond to plant breakdowns, ensuring production is restored in a timely manner; follow up on temporary fixes with permanent solutions.

Proactively seek development of new skills in line with company strategy.

Complete all CMMS and defect cards as required, and update the status in the CMMS system.

Support stock review processes and provide feedback on items taken from stores for reordering on a monthly basis.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives for plant and equipment.

Maintain high housekeeping standards at all times.

Carry out electrical work as required within skill capabilities.

Be aware of the impact of repairs such as welding and grinding on quality, and inform relevant personnel of potential issues.

Encourage and assist co-workers and support other departments as needed.

Build and maintain good relationships with employees across the company.

Skills Required

Sound knowledge of health and safety practices.
Proven track record in a multi-skilled role in an industrial environment, supported by relevant qualifications.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong focus on delivering planned and preventative maintenance.
Ability to manage multiple workloads simultaneously and handle stressful situations.

The role involves working in a team of 5, conducting routine inspections, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and supporting ongoing projects and plant improvements.
