Ambercare Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse Admissions to join our newly restructured team in Espanola, NM. What You'll Do:

* Perform pre-admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services.

* Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patients/families of its services.

* Obtains informed consent

* Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s) that optimize patient and family-directed comfort and quality of life.

Qualifications:

* Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program

* Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice

* Must possess current CPR Certification

* 1 year of Hospice experience, preferred

* Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant

* Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, agency personnel, and the general public

* Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures
