We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic team.
Job DescriptionAs an Occupational Therapist with Roadrunner Home Health, you will work with patients in their homes to help them regain or develop the skills needed for daily living and working. You will be responsible for evaluating and developing individualized therapy plans and interventions to address a variety of physical, emotional, and cognitive conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic interventions in the patient’s home setting, including exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet goals.
- Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve daily living skills and safety.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans according to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to ensure holistic care for each patient.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, trends, and techniques in occupational therapy.
- Provide a compassionate and professional approach to therapy services.
- Attends required meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in New Mexico.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- At least 2 years of experience in home health or a related setting (preferred but not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to travel within Albuquerque, Rio Rancho & Bernalillo
- Experience in home health therapy.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
