Description:

• Deliver engaging and standards-aligned instruction in accordance with district and state curriculum requirements.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate innovative teaching methodologies to support critical thinking and problem‑solving.
• Provide targeted interventions for students based on formative and summative assessment data to address individual learning needs.
• Administer and analyze assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Incorporate educational technology tools to enhance learning and promote student engagement.
• Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate the diverse needs of all learners, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs) or requiring differentiated instruction.
• Establish and maintain a positive and well‑managed classroom environment by implementing effective behavioral expectations and management strategies.
• Facilitate student‑led inquiry, discussions, and activities that encourage active engagement and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development to refine instructional practices and stay current with educational trends.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and achievement.
• Plan and facilitate hands‑on, real‑world learning experiences that enrich and deepen student understanding of key concepts.

Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field and one year of related experience. Eligible for NM State teaching certificate applicable to K-12 Education with PE/Health Endorsement.
