You like mixing things up. Every day is a little different—servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. You’ll also manage stock, do reporting, and keep customer conversations flowing.
Responsibilities- Think on your feet: be trusted to make the right call for each customer and handle different fixes, different faces, and new challenges every day.
- Deliver mobile vehicle maintenance and diagnostic services to customers wherever they are (driveways, office car parks, etc.).
- Provide high-quality customer service, maintain good communication, and act as an ambassador for the RAC.
- Manage stock, complete reporting, and maintain smooth customer conversations.
- Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
- Surbiton, Surrey — up to £55k per annum. Full time. Posted by: RAC.
- A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings of up to £55,000 (inclusive of London Weighting where applicable); earnings may include bonuses and overtime.
- 40 hours per week, core hours 8:30am–5:00pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
- As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to customers, wherever they are. Equipment provided includes an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.
