Assistant Chef / 2nd Chef – Arbrook House Care Home

36 Copsem Lane, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9HE

Salary & Contract

£13.50 - £14.90 per hour (depending on experience).

Permanent contract – 40 hours per week: 3 shifts 8am‑8pm and 1 shift 8am‑2pm on alternate weekends.

£1000 Welcome bonus (subject to terms and conditions).

About the Role

Our kitchen team provide delicious, nutritious meals for residents in a person‑centred care setting. We are looking for an equally passionate Assistant Chef to help deliver an excellent dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritional menus in line with dietary needs and preferences of residents.
  • Propose ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience, helping residents feel at home.
  • Train and manage the kitchen team in prep, cooking and serving of food.
  • Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, manage orders and deliveries.
  • Cater for special events or seasonal activities such as summer fetes, Christmas parties and birthdays.
