Team Member opening at Plant Power in Escondido

Plant Power Fast Food is hiring for our Escondido location, which functions as both a Commissary Kitchen and a Digital Kitchen. In this kitchen, Team Members will make large-scale recipes for our Commissary operation and will also prepare food for guests through Curbside Pickup. Team Members will prepare hot food for guests on our kitchen line, as well as prepare milkshakes and other drinks, and will take food out to guests at their vehicles.

Team Members will also make large-batch recipes using specialized equipment. Team Members will operate a variety of kitchen tools, equipment, and prepare food efficiently and accurately according to Plant Power standards. Lastly, team members will wash and sanitize equipment, dishes, and the facility. We have created a positive work environment and hope to find applicants who are a great fit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Front of House (Curbside Pickup and Delivery only, no dining room at this location)

  • Maintain current knowledge of the food and drink menu, along with all major allergens.
  • Double-check orders before finishing the transaction to ensure orders are accurate.
  • Ensure food and drinks are paired accurately before they are given to guests.
  • Prepare drinks such as milkshakes and all other beverages.

Back of House

  • Prep food items following recipes for large batch products and package those products.
  • Keep our storage areas organized and tidy utilizing FIFO methods (first in first out).
  • Read tickets and accurately prepare orders by assembling burgers, sandwiches, and wraps following the position checklist, and food and health safety standards.
  • Safely operate grill, fryer, and toasters.
  • Set up, organize, and maintain a clean and sanitary work station and equipment throughout shift.
  • Work quickly and efficiently to complete order as fast as possible, with the goal of five minutes or less.
  • Maintain stock and proper pars.
  • Occasional deep cleaning tasks.

Other Duties

  • Wash dishes and cooking equipment.
  • Maintain proper levels of sanitizer in dish sink and dishwasher. Maintain an organized and clean dish area and work space.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Take out trash and recycling.
  • Complete daily deep cleaning tasks.
  • As a team focused environment, you may also be asked to assist in other areas of the operation as needed.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Prolonged periods of standing

In addition, the education, experience, and other skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

San Diego County Food Handlers permit

KEY SKILLS SET
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic.
  • Be able to deal with interruptions calmly and decisively.
  • Excellent oral communication skills. Must be able to speak English.
  • Ability to multitask.
