$18/hour + $1/hour shift differential

SummaryThe Material Handler supports daily production operations by accurately cutting raw materials, preparing job kits, and issuing materials to the production floor.
Responsibilities- Cut raw materials to specified lengths, widths, and quantities in accordance with job travelers, drawings, or work instructions.
- Verify material type, size, and heat numbers prior to cutting.
- Label and stage cut materials for upcoming production jobs.
- Maintain cutting equipment, ensuring cleanliness, calibration, and safe operation.
- Deliver prepared job kits to designated work centers.
- Update inventory and job status in the ERP system as materials are issued.
- Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or material concerns to production planning or supervisors.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, band saws, cutting tools, or other equipment safely and according to training.
- Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience or training.
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling role.
- Ability to read and interpret job travelers, basic drawings, and work instructions.
- Basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and counting.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience with saws, cutters, or related equipment.
