Position: Direct Support Professional - Full Time

Job Coach - Direct Support Professional

Work Hours:

Full-time with open availability (including weekends)

Location:

Pick up clients in surrounding areas and drive onto Camp Pendleton

Compensation: $19.50 per hour

Must be willing to drive up to 3 clients in your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed at current IRS rate)

Job Specific Essential Duties

  • Train, support, and monitor clients while in a work setting on Camp Pendleton.
  • Participate in the development of a circle of support, to build relationships with family, friends, neighbors, and other community.
  • Develop individualized adaptive support materials as needed.
  • Develop and expand clients’ participation in integrated employment activities.
  • Assist with development and implementation of clients’ annual plan, goals, and objectives
  • Participate in clients’ annual Individualized Program Plan (IPP) meeting
  • Provide same day shift coverage as requested by supervisor.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience:1 year working in social services, education, or with the developmentally disabled population preferred
  • Driving:3 years driving experience; must use personal vehicle
