Position at Palomar Health

• Oversee registration, admitting, and financial clearance processes for Patient Service Representatives, Insurance Verifier, Cash Control, Utilization Resource Specialist, Pre-Registration, Lead, and Supervisor.
• Maintain department schedules that meet the needs of customers at Palomar Medical Center.
• Provide leadership, training, education, and professional communication for all staff with financial clearance, admission, and registration duties.
• Assist with development of capital and operating budgets for the department.
• Partner with the revenue cycle team to improve the registration process and revenue stream.
• Speak and read English at a level sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
• Use standard office equipment (calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer with software skills (MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e‑mail).
• Perform other duties as assigned and follow Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards.
• Carry out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

• Minimum Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years healthcare or related experience.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  3–4 years acute hospital admitting experience with stepped levels of responsibility.
• Preferred Experience:
  
  5–7 years acute hospital admitting experience with direct admitting management experience.
• Required Certification:

• Required License:
  Valid Driver’s License.
