Job Overview
This role focuses on developing and delivering control engineering solutions for our industrial gas product lines, including design, documentation, and integration of control systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop Controls Engineering quotes and proposals based on customer project needs
- Create Functional Specification documentation
- Design Controls Engineering drawings, including electrical schematics, control panel and junction box layouts, outline drawings, component details, network communication drawings
- Select component parts and materials, and create Bills of Materials for procurement
- Test and troubleshoot panels and control systems
- Program PLC systems (Factory Talk View Studio), HMI systems (Panelview, Factory Talk View SE), Historian systems (Factory Talk Historian)
- Work with customers to integrate controls solutions into their systems
- Travel to customer sites for field startup and integration of controls systems
Qualifications
- Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering with similar responsibilities
- Allen‑Bradley PLC and HMI experience required
- AutoCAD experience required (electrical schematics, control panel layouts)
- Experience with control component selection and panel design (panel sizing, fuse/breaker selection, PLC component sizing)
- Experience starting up control panels and control systems
- Problem‑solving skills and customer support experience
- VFD drive experience
- Electrical code knowledge
- Ability to travel worldwide
- Experience with fueling systems preferred but not required
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers, and smartphones.
Physical Demands
Requires regular talking or hearing, good close vision, ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and occasionally bend or stand on a stool.
