Bookkeeper & Certified Payroll Specialist

• Pay range: $30-$32/hr
• Shifts:
  
  Onsite until fully trained, then hybrid (3 days onsite)
• Duration:
  Contract to hire (after 4 months, discussion for direct hire)
• Location:
  
  Escondido, CA 92026

• 3-5 years’ bookkeeping/payroll experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• Knowledge of government cost accounting and payroll reporting
• Experience with Quick Books and MS Office tools
• Certified Payroll experience highly preferred
• Strong organizational and analytical skills

• Manage full-cycle payrolls, including prevailing wage and certified payrolls
• Handle accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and government cost accounting reports
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, wage requirements, and submission of reports
• Collaborate with HR on employee data, benefits, and time tracking
