Accounting Clerk

Description

A stable construction/trades firm in Escondido is adding a detail-accurate Accounting Clerk to support daily AP/AR workflows, job cost coding, and office operations. Perfect for someone who enjoys a steady cadence, hands-on collaboration with project managers, and getting the numbers right the first time.

What You'll Do

+ Intake, code, and route AP invoices; verify POs, deliveries, and job codes

+ Assist AR with billing packets, deposits, and basic collections follow‑up

+ Maintain vendor files, W‑9s, certificates of insurance; assist with 1099 prep

+ Reconcile statements; research discrepancies with vendors and PMs

+ Support check runs, ACH batches, and credit card expense reconciliations

+ Maintain tidy digital filing and audit-ready documentation

+ Help with front office tasks: mail, phones, and document prep as needed

Requirements

+ 1-3+ years accounting/administrative experience (construction a plus)

+ Comfortable with Excel and accounting software (Quick Books/Sage/Viewpoint)

+ Accurate data entry, excellent follow-through, and professional communication
