• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
• Be at work on schedule, on time, and in uniform.
• Carry a valid state‑issued driver’s license at all times while on duty.
• Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Assist customers, answer questions, and direct them to the Facility Manager when necessary.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the garage office.
• Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
• Know all areas of the garage and major surrounding streets, landmarks, and freeways.
• Assist customers with luggage or other traveling items (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
• Assist the Facility Manager with additional duties as needed.

Qualification Requirements: Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

Required:

Less than high school education or one month related, training, or an equivalent combination.

License Requirement: Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.

Availability to Work: Shift requirements will vary. Availability for third shift and/or weekends may be required.

Language

Skills:

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Present information clearly to customers and employees.

Mathematical

Skills:

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide two‑digit numbers; perform operations with American currency.

Appearance: Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: Stand, walk, use hands for cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb, or balance. May lift up to 75 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made.

$17.22 per hour (plus tips). Eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
