PositionFleet Vehicle Manager, DOT Shuttle Operations
Salary$80,000.00 to $87,000.00 per year
Job FunctionResponsible for overseeing the fleet and vehicle maintenance operations for a DOT shuttle operation.
Operations Oversight- Work with the on‑site manager to prepare repair, maintenance and cleaning schedules; assign, perform, and supervise the work product.
- Oversee daily functions of the maintenance staff employees to ensure quality and timely completion of daily, weekly, monthly and annual repair, maintenance and cleaning projects.
- Conduct daily inspections on cleaning, maintenance and repair projects to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Perform other maintenance related duties: direct and manage routine cleaning, maintenance and repair, including power washing, slurring, restriping, sweeping and commercial painting.
- Prior progressive supervisory or management experience in a transportation environment preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver’s License depending on the location’s hiring needs with Passenger Endorsement if responsible for operating shuttle buses with a passenger capacity of 15 or more.
- DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
- Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week‑ends may be required.
- Prior experience ensuring compliance with federal (EPA Clean Water Act of 1977) and local laws/regulations, especially in water pollution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
