Position: Beverage Technician (Lab Tech)

Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (8-hour day with 30-minute lunch).
Flexible Start: Between 7:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Role Overview

This position supports beverage development by batching formulas and prototypes, performing basic analytical testing, and providing hands‑on laboratory support to scientists. The Beverage Technician helps ensure samples meet customer requirements while following safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Batch beverage formulas and prototypes with minor modifications.
  • Screen flavors and colors and adjust formulas using Wildware.
  • Perform basic analytical testing, including pH, Brix, TA, and spectrophotometers.
  • Complete basic math conversions for batching and formulation.
  • Follow ISO procedures and laboratory safety standards daily.
  • Support sensory triangle tastings and stability testing under supervision.
  • Use AS400 and LEAD systems to research data and generate shipments.
  • Prepare data for demo sheets and development documentation.
  • Assist with flavor screening and selection.
Required Skills & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic math skills including ratios, fractions, scaling, and percentages.
  • Foundational scientific knowledge, including chemistry concepts.
  • Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet tools.
  • Experience with basic instrument calibration, use, and reporting.
  • Problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes.
