The Bagger position is required to operate a bagging machine to properly fill bags with product, ensure proper labeling and weight, and ensure bags successfully pass through a metal detector before leaving the bagging area. The position may also be required to perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or the department manager.

• Ensure batch numbers and product codes on the labels match the product being dumped
• Make sure the metal detector is in good working condition
• Stack bags neatly on skids as required and on the correct skid color
• Return any unused label back to the operator so that it can be recorded
• Clean machine and work area as required
• Detect any malfunction of metal detector and rollers and report it to the supervisor
• Comply with all safety requirements and company policies
• Report all shortage to the lead operator
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Knowledge about manufacturing food preferred
• Able to communicate well, both verbal and written, with good mathematical skills
• Able to lift 50 lbs. continuously

The job is performed in production areas where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
