Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos and Airheads!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Associate Brand Manager, Innovation to join our Marketing team.

The Associate Brand Manager will support PVM refreshment innovation business through leadership of business analysis, key projects/initiatives and budget management. This person will partner with the brand team, cross functional business partners, global team, and external partners to develop, execute and track brand new product initiatives. This role will lead the new product development (NPD) efforts for projects within the brand team assigned.

This role will lead projects through the Stage Gate process for NPD commercialization readiness: partnering with a variety of cross functional partners within the US and our global organization.

Additional Responsibilities include:

• Lead project definition and scoping (branding, product performance, pack sizes, channel focus, pricing strategy, etc) and then partner with the Project Management Organization (PMO) within PVM North America to ensure on time milestone delivery for on time commercialization readiness.
• Partner with other cross functional partners to clarify commercial strategy (OBPPC), plans for selling to the trade (selling story, sales samples) and production readiness (artwork finalization, new item setup, delivering on start of ship timing commitments).
• Partner with the “base” brand team (owners of brand strategy and consumer marketing materials) from US and Global to clarify the brand strategy behind all initiatives.
• Contribute to process excellence and continuous process improvement for NPD commercialization practices.

• Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business, or related field.
• 2-3+ years’ experience with Product Management, Brand Marketing, or Category
• Marketing experience in a CPG environment.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong project management skills, with ability to synthesize multiple inputs and concisely articulate what is needed for on time commercial readiness.
• Organized, with high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Analytic skills to be able to articulate internal and external new product launches with a focus on what each did well and what could be improved.
• Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills and ability to partner with team members of varying cultures, diversity, and those who live across the globe.
• Understanding of basic business operations and financial reporting (P&L, budget management)
• Prior brand management experience in consumer-packaged goods preferred.
• Previous work with project management systems a plus (artwork management systems, industrialization management systems, P&L understanding).
