Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Northern, Kentucky. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic industry environment while enhancing your accounting expertise. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- Reconcile revenue and expenses, ensuring accurate data export into cloud-based ERP system.

- Generate daily management reports by consolidating information from various data sources.

- Perform job costing and reconcile project-related transactions, including purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.

- Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records through invoice creation and customer statement reconciliation.

- Input financial data into ERP system and other accounting software systems with precision.

- Balance accounts receivable and accounts payable subledgers with the general ledger.

- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and team members to resolve discrepancies and provide support.

- Assist in month-end closing activities and contribute to the annual audit process.

- Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed.

- Handle special projects and assignments as directed to support business objectives.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.

- At least 3 years of experience in accounting with a focus on detail is preferred.

- Familiarity with cloud-based ERP system is highly advantageous.

- Proficiency in job costing methodologies is a plus.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting software are essential.

- Strong verbal and written communication abilities are required.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for success.
