Job Description: As a Behavioral Health RN, you will care for patients with psychiatric conditions, emotional disorders, and substance abuse challenges. You’ll assess mental health needs, implement individualized care plans, and support patient safety in a secure, therapeutic environment.

• Assess, monitor, and document patient mental health status and behaviors
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects or reactions
• Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and coping strategies
• Maintain a safe environment in accordance with facility policies and state regulations

• Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
• BLS certification required; CPI or PMAB certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience
• Strong communication, observation, and crisis management skills
• Ability to remain calm and supportive in high-stress situations
