Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and driven SAP Technical Leader who will serve as the go‑to expert for SAP BASIS/HANA operations. In this role you will lead administration, architecture, and implementation efforts across a complex, multi‑landscape enterprise environment, mentor junior staff, guide contractors, and collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver reliable, high‑performing SAP solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities What You’ll Do Technical Leadership & Production Support- Lead SAP BASIS/HANA administration including installations, upgrades, patching, support package application, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Act as Technical Lead on projects, managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Administer SAP environments covering CRM, ECC, BI/BW, Business Objects, Portal, and Solution Manager on SAP HANA.
- Lead design and implementation of portal landscape upgrades and patches.
- Drive problem determination and resolution across all SAP environments.
- Serve as SME in SAP BASIS/HANA, providing analytical depth for system performance evaluations, health checks, and tuning improvements.
- Participate in multi‑landscape design, architecture recommendations, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Provide technical leadership across cross‑functional project teams.
- Partner with SAP functional teams to coordinate and deliver enterprise‑wide SAP enhancements.
- Collaborate with server administrators and DBAs to design, develop, test, and implement solutions, including system maintenance and critical data backups.
- Develop and champion standard practices within the team; support broader IT infrastructure requirements in partnership with other IT groups.
- Mentor and guide junior staff on procedures, standards, and best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP environment designs and landscapes.
- Prepare and present status reports and technical analyses to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the audit team to uphold procedural integrity and security compliance.
- Stay current on business unit processes, application support requirements, and relevant technical skills.
Skills and Abilities
What You Bring Skills & Knowledge
- Deep expertise in SAP BASIS/HANA administration and architecture.
- Familiarity with business processes and enterprise IT functions.
- Working knowledge of COBIT5 or other structured IT governance frameworks.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements governing IT environments.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a management or technical discipline preferred.
- 7+ years of SAP experience, with a minimum of 3 years in S/4
HANA. - Proven experience across the full lifecycle of large, complex enterprise SAP implementations.
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on SAP HANA implementation experience.
- ITIL Foundation certification required (at hire or within 12 months).
- COBIT framework certification preferred.
