Job Title:
Open Systems Application Analyst
The Open Systems Application Analyst supports enterprise applications that are in scope for the IBC Data Purge initiative. This role focuses on analyzing, designing, and supporting solutions to remove large volumes of data from Oracle/Linux/Windows platforms. The analyst collaborates closely with application teams to complete required artifacts, validate purge approaches, and identify system dependencies.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical artifacts supporting large‐scale data purge solutions
- Develop and validate SQL scripts to extract statistical record counts across all database tables
- Design and support methods for removing large volumes of data from databases, network drives, and other data stores
- Develop product test plans with an emphasis on batch processing, user‐oriented automation, and reusable test data creation
- Identify and document functional and technical inter‐application dependencies
- Create test scenarios, collect performance metrics, and estimate resource requirements while testing data purge solutions
- Maintain tracking tools for artifact completion and support reporting of domain and application status
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience
- 4+ years of experience working in an open systems environment with a blend of technical and functional expertise
- Data modeling and database analysis of relational and hierarchical database systems
- SQL with Oracle and SQLServer
- Java, PL/SQL, and People Soft Tools
- Open Systems tools
- Agile and Scrum methodologies; experience with Git Lab
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Visio, and ER diagramming
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to reverse‐engineer and analyze existing source code
- Team‐oriented mindset with accountability for independently assigned tasks
- Experience with job scheduling tools, such as Control-M, Tivoli
- Experience with solution architecture and integration technologies such as APIs, Kafka, Blu Devil, and sFTP
- Experience or familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium
