FT Temporary Reference Librarian (Position available through September 4, 2026)

Position Classification

Full-Time Twelve (12) Month Faculty

Minimum Position Qualifications
  • Education: Masters Degree from an ALA-accredited library/information science program.
  • Experience: Three (3) years appropriate experience is required; preferably in an academic library.
  • Skills: Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with faculty members, students, college staff and public patrons; ability to function with minimal supervision.
Position Responsibilities

Supervises and maintains the Library's reference collection; provides basic reference services to library patrons; actives engagement in Information Literacy program; assists in the selection of reference and general books for the library collection; assists in supervision of the circulation desk as assigned; assists in collection weeding and inventory, as required; assists in preparing bibliographic, book lists and other library publications; assists in freshman library orientation, and conducts library bibliographical instruction classes as required;

responsible to the Inter-library service; oversees the library display case; rotate evening hours and weekend assignments.

Entry Salary

$50,577/ annual
