Demand Planner

Salary:

My client who operates within the UK FMCG Industry is recruiting a highly organised and analytical Demand Planner to support their fast‑paced, growing business. This key role focuses on demand planning, supplier management, logistics coordination, and supporting new product development (NPD). The successful candidate will ensure stock availability, streamline supply chain operations, and contribute to continuous improvement across UK and European markets.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning:
Analyse sales trends to forecast demand, set accurate inventory levels, and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Special Order Management:
Coordinate printed goods and direct factory-to-customer deliveries, working closely with Sales teams and customers.
Logistics Coordination:
Collaborate with 3PLs and freight partners to plan, track, and optimise UK/EU inbound and outbound shipments.
Supply Chain Optimisation:
Identify cost reductions, route efficiencies, and opportunities to improve performance across the supply chain.
Operations & Warehousing:
Monitor 3PL performance and costs, support Finance with cost controls, and report on key KPIs.
NPD Support:
Partner with Technical Services to set up supply routes for new products and ensure smooth launch.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive process, technology, and operational enhancements to support commercial outcomes.
Reporting:
Produce regular reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and operational improvements.

About You

Degree‑educated (preferably in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline).
Experience in international supply chain operations, including import/export.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving skills.
High attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills and confidence working cross‑functionally with internal teams and customer supply chain contacts.
