Senior Support Worker

Overview

Senior Support Worker at Derby House residential Care Home. We support 6 ladies with learning disabilities and Autism to achieve their goals, reach their full potential and live life to the full. The role involves supporting them in all aspects of daily living in the care home setting. The service is a busy, lively service, and we are looking for caring, proactive, empathetic, hardworking candidates to join the team.

• Support individuals with daily living, promoting independence, working alongside and adhering to the persons support plan and risk assessments.
• Supporting with personal care.
• Supporting with health appointments.
• Supporting people to go out to places of interest, go on holiday.
• Supporting making and cooking meals and drinks.
• Shift leading, ensuring a shift runs safely and smoothly.
• Escalating any concerns around the health of an individual.
• Administering medication.

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience

• 12 months experience of working with People with Learning Disabilities or Mental Health setting
• Experience of working in teams
• A driving licence suitable for driving in the U.K., and meets the requirements set out by the Trust insurers to drive the Trust vehicle
• Experience leading a shift as shift leader
• Experience administering medication.

• Relevant driving eligibility or license details as required by the Trust insurers
