As one of the first spa towns in the UK, famous for its miracle salts, Epsom is home to one of our GP first opinion practices that is a short canter away from the racecourse. While you may not get a full spa treatment you will certainly be welcomed with VIP treatment by a settled team, looking for an additional RVN to support them on a part‑time basis.

This part‑time RVN role involves 8.5‑hour shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, ideal for a newly qualified RVN with ample support, or for someone with a few years under their belt looking to reduce hours.
You will be working alongside a settled team including a full‑time vet, full‑time RVN, VCA, and two part‑time receptionists, providing front‑of‑house support to our long‑term client base so you can focus on patient care.
Your rota will include a 1:4 Saturday rotation and a 1:10 Saturday rotation at Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon. You will be rota ‘d to one bank holiday per year. There are NO on‑call requirements.
Branch RVN duties- Ensure a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care.
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records.
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients.
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use.
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables, and place orders with suppliers as necessary.
- Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training.
- Provide reception duties as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.
- Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor.
Epsom itself is a beautiful market town in Surrey, well‑connected with easy access to the M25 and direct train lines to central London. Location-wise, Epsom offers the best of both worlds—outside the city but with ample access when needed.
Pay and benefitsOur RVN salary band is £32,000 to £35,000 FTE (full‑time equivalent based on 40 hours per week), depending on prior experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
