As we continue to expand our global footprint, we are looking for a driven, technically‑minded Sales Engineer to join our team in Hampton.
The RoleThis isn't just a "sales" job; it’s a technical consultancy role. You will be the face of Hightest, bridging the gap between complex engineering challenges and our world‑class solutions. You will manage the full sales lifecycle from identifying new opportunities Heaven performing technical demonstrations through hyperclosing deals and providing post‑sale support.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Identify and engage with key stakeholders in the power utility, manufacturing, and industrial sectors.
- Technical Consultation: Understand client requirements and provide expert advice on high‑voltage testing applications.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct hands‑on demonstrations of our portable test equipment, showing its value in real‑world environments.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long‑term partnerships with engineers and procurement teams.
- Travel: Travel across the UK and occasionally internationally to meet clients on‑site and attend industry exhibitions.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a technical sales or sales engineering role.
- Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of transformers and high‑voltage (HV) systems is highly preferred.
- Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline) is a significant advantage, but not a deal‑breaker for a candidate with the right industry experience.
- Communication: Must be able to explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and commercial decision‑makers.
- Drive: A self‑starter who is comfortable working autonomously and is motivated by hitting targets.
- Mobility: A full UK driving license and a genuine willingness to travel for client visits and site work.
