We're working with a consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Asset Surveyor for a short-term contract on a live hospital site in Surrey, starting end of January 2026.

This is a hands‑on role requiring full‑time site presence, surveying mechanical assets across the entire hospital estate and producing accurate, high‑quality asset data to support ongoing estates and facilities planning.

You will be responsible for completing detailed mechanical asset surveys across a large, operational healthcare environment.

• Surveying and recording mechanical assets across the full hospital site
• Capturing accurate asset data including condition, age, specification and compliance
• Working methodically within a live hospital environment
  , adhering to all site protocols
• Producing clear, structured survey outputs and asset registers
• Liaising with estates teams and project stakeholders as required

• Minimum 4 years' experience in a building services consultancy or contractor environment
• Proven experience carrying out mechanical asset surveys
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems
• Experience working on live environments; healthcare experience desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently, manage your own workload and meet programme deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and reporting accuracy

This is a straightforward, well-defined contract for an experienced Mechanical Asset Surveyor who is comfortable working on site and delivering high‑quality survey data in a healthcare setting.
