Working under the direction of the Headteachers, the successful candidate will support children's learning both individually and in small groups, ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality inclusive education. This role is ideal for someone who is confident delivering planned lessons, supporting children with a range of needs, and committed to fostering a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Supporting teaching and learning across the school, delivering planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour, preparing resources, maintaining pupil records and contributing to classroom planning.

What we are looking for
  • Hold relevant qualifications including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and an HLTA qualification.
  • Have experience delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records and contributing to classroom planning.
  • Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children and parents.
  • Be motivated, flexible and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.

The Details
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Salary: GLF Specialist Point 1 – FTE
  • Actual Salary: 12,480.89 – 14,201.22
  • Monthly Salary: 27,061 – 30,791
  • Hours: 19.5 hrs a week (Term time only – 38.6 weeks)
  • Contract: Permanent
