An exciting opportunity to shape engagement and make a lasting impact

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Community and Events Manager to join our dynamic team at City of London Freemen's School.

This is a busy, externally facing role at the heart of our External Relations Department and plays a pivotal part in delivering the School's strategic vision. Reporting to the Director of External Relations, you will lead on creating exceptional experiences that strengthen our marketing, admissions, and community engagement efforts and help showcase Freemen's to prospective families and deepen connections across our vibrant community.

We are looking for a confident, creative communicator who thrives on building relationships and delivering outstanding events. Ideally, you will have experience in an educational setting, preferably within the independent sector, and a strong track record of organising admissions and marketing events to support pupil recruitment.

Beyond events, this role offers the chance to also shape our community engagement strategy, fostering partnerships with local schools, charities, and corporate organisations, and supporting our bursary programme. You will be instrumental in developing meaningful relationships that enrich the experience of current pupils and strengthen Freemen's ties with the wider community.

If you are dynamic, articulate, and passionate about creating connections, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.

Working hours are 28 hours per week over 4 days to include a Friday. There will also be the requirement to work occasional evenings and Saturdays.

The City of London Corporation is currently undergoing a programme to ensure that our pay and reward practices are competitive and equitable across the whole organisation to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in the work that we do.

Closing date for the receipt of completed application forms is 5pm on Friday 23rd January 2026.

Interviews will take place on 28th January 2026

The School retains the right to interview and appoint at any time during the application process.
