: £30,000 per annum
Service: Residential Family Assessment Centre (Banstead)
Reports to: Senior Practitioner / Lead Practitioner / Deputy Manager
Role PurposeThe Assessment Practitioner (Core) plays a central and skilled role within the organisational therapeutic residential family centre. This post holder contributes directly to structured parenting and capacity‑to‑change assessments, ensuring that assessment activity is consistent, robust, and reflective of the organisational trauma‑informed and evidence‑based approach.
The role requires confident professional judgement, the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, and responsibility for the safe and effective running of shifts when required. Assessment Practitioners are expected to understand how daily practice, observation, and recording directly inform formal assessment outcomes and decision‑making for families.
This role supports the organisation’s commitment to safeguarding babies, strengthening early attachment, and providing clear, balanced, and defensible assessment evidence to inform multi‑agency decision‑making.
