Position: UK Commercial Insights Lead

UK Commercial Insights Lead

Do you want to own insight, influence strategy, and shape UK sales performance from day one?

Are you ready to turn complex misunderstood data and trends into board-level decisions for our UK CCO community?

If the idea of presenting insight, challenging our senior leaders, innovating with AI and influencing strategy excites you, then read on!

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from London and/or other locations.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

No two days will be the same, but you can expect to:

  • Start by reviewing key sales and performance dashboards (using Clive or AID), spotting trends, risks and opportunities across the UK market.
  • Deep-dive into datasets from COE, ACIA and other data experts, turning raw numbers into clear, actionable insight.
  • Preparing concise summaries, visuals and recommendations for the UK CCO and senior stakeholders, often for same‑day or next‑day discussions.
  • Join cross‑functional meetings with Solution Lines, Finance and UK D&A to deliver aligned outcomes.
How this opportunity is different

Direct impact at senior level: Your insight will be used by the UK CCO and senior leadership to make real‑time decisions on strategy, performance and investment.

Blend of strategy and hands‑on analysis: You’ll move seamlessly between building models yourself and shaping the bigger commercial picture.

High visibility, collaborative environment: You’ll be a key analytical voice within Sales Enablement, working closely with COE, ACIA and other data experts, not in a back‑office silo.

Room to grow: With exposure to senior stakeholders and complex UK market challenges, as well as the EMEA Sales Enablement function, this role offers a clear platform for progression and expanding your influence.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record of turning data into clear, actionable insight.
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, data modelling, scenario analysis as standard).
  • Experience of building or working with Power BI dashboards (or similar BI tools) to bring data to life.
  • Confidence in communicating with senior stakeholders – including presenting to, and challenging, senior leaders.
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and clear recommendations.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as in cross‑functional teams, managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A proactive, curious approach – always looking for the “so what?” and “what next?” behind the data.
