TPF Recruitment is delighted to be working with a progressive and growing accountancy practice in the Epsom area that is looking to recruit a technically strong Client Manager to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice professional who enjoys technical work, reviewing assignments, and managing a client portfolio. The firm is seeking someone confident, detail focused and technically capable who can deliver high quality output and support standards across the team.
The RoleThis is a portfolio manager position focused on accounts, compliance and client advisory work. You will manage your own portfolio while also acting as a key technical support within the team.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of industries
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts (FRS 102/102a)
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and disclosure requirements
- Peer reviewing work completed by other team members and maintaining quality standards
- Advising clients on accounting and financial matters
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Supporting junior staff with technical queries and guidance
- Ensuring deadlines are met and work is delivered accurately and efficiently
- Supporting partners and senior leadership with technical and client matters
The firm is looking for someone who is technically strong
. This role will suit someone who takes pride in accuracy, standards and technical excellence.
- ACA or ACCA qualification, or recently qualified / qualified by experience.
- Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Excellent technical knowledge including FRS 102 and FRS 102a
- Confidence preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and disclosures
- Experience managing a client portfolio independently
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and professional judgement
- A confident communication style when dealing with clients and colleagues
- Competitive salary dependent on experience, likely in the region of £45,000-£55,000 pa
