Customer Service Rep
Position Summary
The Front Desk / Concessions position at Splash Zone is responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service to all patrons. Duties include greeting guests, processing admissions and payments, assisting with questions, operating the concessions stand, and maintaining a clean and organized lobby and concession area. This position also supports daily facility operations and helps create a welcoming, positive experience for the community.
Ideal candidates are dependable, courteous, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Reports to the Front Desk / Concessions Manager or Aquatic Manager. This temporary seasonal at‑will position is managed under the direction of the Front Desk/Concession Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure positive public interactions with all staff and public.
- Keep accurate records of all revenues and expenditures.
- Maintain accurate records of all swimming lessons.
- Keep accurate records of all food items.
- Ensure concession stand compliance with Health Department regulations.
- Maintain concessions stand, picnic tables and surrounding areas neat and tidy.
- Serve safe and hot food to the public.
- Ensure positive phone interactions with public and staff.
- Clean front desk and entry to Splash Zone.
- Assist in emergencies as described in Splash Zone’s EAP.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Washington State Food Handler’s Permit.
- Valid driver’s license (highly desired).
- Working knowledge of Washington State food rules and Health codes.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Interact with general public.
- Deal with staff and public in a professional, team‑oriented manner.
- Anticipate and prevent accidents.
- Learn how to operate a cash register.
- Work cooperatively with others while fostering a team‑oriented environment.
- Prepare schedules for multiple staff.
- Cashiering or closely related field experience is highly desired.
- Concessions or closely related field experience is highly desired.
- Public relations experience is highly desired.
- Working varied hours including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Climbing.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Lifting heavy objects weighing fifty (50) pounds.
- Walking.
- Reaching overhead and above shoulders.
- Kneeling or crouching.
- Hearing and speaking to communicate information.
- Reading and writing to communicate information.
- Seeing to monitor activities.
- Sensing hot and cold.
- Smelling/sensing burning/hot machinery.
- Exposure to heat and cold.
- Exposure to electrical equipment.
- Exposure to and sharp equipment.
- Exposure to cleaning materials and chemicals.
- Exposure to body fluids.
- Exposure to distressed and ill people.
- Exposure to pool related chemicals (Chlorine, Acids).
