Position Summary:
The Sr. Retail Loan Servicing Specialist is an experienced-level position responsible for performing advanced servicing functions on retail loan accounts throughout their lifecycle. This role handles complex servicing activities such as payment research, escrow analysis, payoff processing, loan maintenance, and customer issue resolution. The Senior Retail Loan Servicing Specialist demonstrates in-depth knowledge of loan servicing systems, regulatory requirements, and departmental procedures, serving as a resource for other team members.
This position is also responsible for servicing reports for secondary market lending.
Essential Functions:

- Perform daily complex loan servicing functions, including loan payoff processing, account maintenance, and escrow management.
- Perform a variety of retail loan servicing process tasks including auto-transfer setups, drafting loan payoff statements, analyzing and executing on the monthly escrow analysis report.
- Process complex retail loan servicing tickets within SLA time frames.
- Research and resolve complex discrepancy payment issues, or customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Research, process and track tax interim bills and assessments for construction mortgages and re-analyze escrow accounts.
- Research and report on insurance cancellation issues.
- Review and analyze complex borrower inquiries regarding billing, payment history, escrow analysis, and account status.
- Responsible for investor mortgage servicing activities such as preparing and submitting daily and monthly reporting along with resolving reporting discrepancies.
- Assist with daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations.
- Assist with audits, regulatory reviews and quality control testing related to loan servicing.
- Provide guidance and training to new or less experienced servicing staff.
- Performs such other duties as may be required by the position.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with retail loan products, loan documentation, escrow administration, and regulatory requirements.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in account management and recordkeeping.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in loan servicing systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and document management tools.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines. Due to physical location of this position, phone ringing, and people conversing, it may be difficult to hear at times and therefore easily distracting.
