Deposit Solutions Intern

Summary:

Provides support to the Deposit Solutions team. Will learn several job roles within the Deposit Solutions department and supporting departments. Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at a professional level. Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with all three Deposit Solutions teams to support and perform entry-level daily operational tasks.
• Participate in and contribute to an organizational imaging system project.
• Provide review of departmental procedures by identifying gaps or operational updates.
• Undertake a professional internship designed to provide on-the-job training and experience. Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain exposure to the financial services industry and obtain applicable professional experience.
• Provide entry- to intermediate-level professional services, under supervision of professional staff and/or faculty personnel, as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the unit.
• Undertakes and/or participates in projects and programs within the department that are designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization.
• Interact directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
• Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from professional personnel in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
• As appropriate to the position and as specified by unit management, conduct original research and prepare reports based on findings, to include recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
• May undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Business Development/Sales, or in another comparable field studies highly desirable.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines.
