This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position; not to exceed 29 hours a week. Schedule is Monday through Friday, working anywhere from as early as 6:30 am to 3:30 pm.

- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or 2 years food service experience
- Must have a valid Florida Driver License
- Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in English and Spanish, required.
- Must have good organizational skills
- Must be able to adjust recipes as needed for serving size
- Must be able to prioritize tasks to have all meal items ready at the same time
- Ability to relate to school age children and youth and house parents
- Retail experience is helpful, but not required
- Must have sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
- Ability to provide proof of, obtain, and/or maintain the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) currently required immunizations (which are subject to change per ORR guidance).
- Work with approved National School Lunch Program menus
- Prepare breakfast/ lunch/snack menu meals for residents on campus each school day and during summer break
- Prepare breakfast/lunch/dinner menu meals for residents and staff in the Caminos program each day and prepare ahead for weekend meals
- Complete National School Lunch Program documentation regarding meals/snacks served
- Assist with food preparation for special events of the organization
- Clean and sanitize kitchen area and all utensils, including laundering towels
- Follow safe food handling procedures
- Provide feedback regarding menu item preferences of our residents to management for menu updates
- Act as back-up personnel in the commissary for filling grocery orders, as needed, along with prepping items for commissary inventory
