We are looking for an enthusiastic business developer for our company Demcon Focal in Enschede.

Demcon Focal is a high-tech development and engineering partner with a deep-rooted fascination for light, precision, and advanced imaging systems. We specialize in creating customized optomechatronic and vision systems, supporting our customers from the initial concept through to final assembly. By integrating optics, optomechanics, and software into coherent and robust solutions, we enable technological progress in the most demanding applications. In doing so, we build on our extensive and fundamental knowledge of the properties of light.

Your challenge is to facilitate the growth of our company by identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities and by implementing strategic account management. You are responsible for all business development activities within Demcon Focal. You:

• actively represent Demcon Focal at (international) trade fairs, events, and in relevant networks; you are visible and approachable;
• open doors and establish new contacts with a wide range of parties: from innovative start-ups to established and large OEM companies;
• know exactly how to convincingly convey the technological strength of Demcon Focal, tailored to the customer's needs;
• build long-term relationships in which trust, content, and cooperation are central;
• work closely with colleagues from engineering, project management, and management to translate customer questions into innovative solutions;
• collaborate with other business developers from Demcon companies to put Demcon on the international map;
• contribute ideas about the direction of the business and contribute to the strategic development of Demcon Focal.

• Bachelor's degree level with a technical education (e.g., Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar);
• At least 2 years of experience or demonstrable affinity with business development in a technical, high-tech-oriented sector;
• You work independently, enjoy a challenge, think in terms of solutions, and are creative;
• You have strong communication skills, dare to express your opinion, and are confident;
• The position is based at our location in Enschede, where we would like you to be present at least 2 days a week;
• Willingness to travel internationally;
• You speak and write excellent Dutch and English (knowledge of German is an advantage).
