Structural Steel Spray Painter

We are seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join our fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and applying protective coatings and finishes to structural steel components in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

• Prepare structural steel surfaces for painting (cleaning, grinding, sandblasting, masking, etc.)
• Apply primers, intermediate coats, and topcoats using airless and conventional spray equipment
• Ensure correct paint thickness and finish quality to specification
• Mix and match paints according to manufacturer guidelines
• Perform quality checks, including dry film thickness testing
• Maintain spray equipment and ensure proper storage of materials
• Work collaboratively with fabrication and quality control teams

• Proven experience as a spray painter, preferably within structural steel or heavy industrial environments
• Knowledge of protective coatings systems (epoxy, polyurethane, intumescent coatings, etc.)
• Familiarity with airless spray equipment and blasting standards
• Understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certification in industrial coating application
• Forklift or overhead crane license
• Experience working to ISO quality standards
