The primary purpose of this role is to support continuous improvement initiatives across the Mannok Business. You will play an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of Lean methodology and the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities- Champion the use of Lean, Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma across the site.
- Work closely with divisional & functional management and key business stakeholder’s to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing programme of change.
- Management of the site’s Lean Tools and Techniques implementation; including, but not limited to the establishment and upkeep of 5S Housekeeping, Visual Management, and Root Cause Analysis, in line with company standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to management and key personnel in the rollout of the Mannok ‘Leading Excellence’ framework, allowing them to achieve a CI Culture within their business area(s).
- Facilitate the development and implementation of new and innovative ways of working as part of a ‘best in class’ continuous improvement strategy.
- Train and support employees on the core principles of Lean, to better understand the end goal and ensure they are following a best practice approach to using and sustaining implemented tools within their business area(s).
- Facilitate Lean/process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions.
- Complete post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects.
- Communicate the progress of Lean/CI initiatives to key business stakeholders and project sponsors.
The post holder will have strong attention to detail, project management and planning skills. Effective leadership and communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, be skilled in MS Office suite and have a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude.
It is essential to have a 3 rd level qualification in Technology, Business, Engineering or a related discipline or 5+ years relevant work experience. In addition, you must have Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt qualification and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Tools such as DMAIC, Root Cause, Analysis, 5S AND Standard Work. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Qualification and Project/Programme Management experience is desirable.
Applicants must have 2+ years’ experience implementing Lean initiatives within a manufacturing setting. Whilst experience of developing or delivering Lean/CI training material is desirable.
