Job Purpose
This role oversees the application deployment and batch jobs scheduling and management within the bank. It also involves application deployment and migration, batch jobs scheduling and management, and also system integration and automation. Additionally, the position needs to collaborate with various IT infrastructure and application teams to manage operations and monitor batch jobs.
Main Responsibilities Application Deployment & Migration- Perform application software migration from staging to production environments using CA Endevor lifecycle tools.
- Copy object modules to production environments based on application implementation instructions and deployment packages.
- Install, configure, and support IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) infrastructure across all subscribed devices.
- Design and configure batch jobs, including trigger times, task dependencies, pre/post-execution conditions, and exception handling.
- Integrate TWS with Mail Enable for automated email alerts to the operations team.
- Provide daily reports such as the "Production Outstanding TWS Job" and "TWS Job Status Report."
- Perform job runtime analysis and tuning to optimize performance.
- Integrate Net View, Netgain, and Service Now platforms to enable automated incident ticketing and alerting.
- Design and implement auto-triggering mechanisms (e.g., OK Flag) for condition passing between Open Systems and Mainframe environments.
- Install, configure, and support Mail Enable and its email client as a centralized operations console.
- Design and configure logsheets for manual operations based on application operational manuals.
- Monitor job execution and system health, ensuring timely issue detection and resolution.
- Prepare and update typhoon procedures and other contingency plans in alignment with the latest application operational manuals.
- Maintain accurate documentation for batch jobs, logsheets, and system configurations.
- Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with application support and infrastructure teams to ensure timely resolution and minimal business impact.
- A bachelor's degree / diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in IT operations, batch job scheduling, and system integration.
- Experience in banking industry is preferred.
- Proficient in CA Endevor, IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), integration of TWS with Mail Enable, integration of Net View, Netgain, and Service Now platforms to enable incident ticketing and alerting.
- Capable of designing and implementing condition passing mechanism between open systems and Mainframe.
- Experience in batch monitoring and tuning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
