Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Ennis, TX — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• $1650 or more per week – and it gets better
• Driver positions are paid weekly
• Miles pay: $0.617 per mile with 1880 miles per week
• Stops pay: $26.72 per stop with 15 stops per week
• Mileage incentive pay: up to $75 per completed route
• Per diem: $51.00 per night with 1–2 nights per week
• Overnights on route in Ryder‑booked hotel
• Paid training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday
• Start time: varies

• Deliver solo to: LA, TX, OK, NM, AR, TN, and MS
• Tractor type:
  Day Cab
• Trailer type: 53’, 48’, and 28’ Reefer
• 6 months Class A touch‑freight experience required
• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Equipment:
  Manual pallet jack, lift gate, rolling carts, and dollies
• Freight:
  Touch – consumer goods

• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days
• 80 hours PTO the first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it)

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide an appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards and maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
