Overview

2nd Shift Maintenance Technician role at IKO North America. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Learn the processes of how products are made and all the steps that go into it.
  • Learn about site-specific equipment and how it should properly function.
  • Maintain smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot specific industrial equipment by using precise measuring and testing instruments.
  • Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hand and power tools.
  • Inspect and assess the wear and remaining useful life of various power transmission components.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with the Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
  • The position is subject to 24-hour call-out, shift, and weekend work.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to climb stairs and work in high-up areas.
  • Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices.
  • 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Millwright skills, welding and machining experience preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed repair and instruction manuals.
  • Must be able to work with computer-based maintenance software.
  • Must supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment.
