Position: Medical Assistant - Family Medicine North Clinic - FT - Days Shift

Medical Assistant – Family Medicine North Clinic – Full Time, Day Shift

Location:

Enid, Oklahoma (North Clinic).

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
  • Interview patients and collect vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height), perform venipuncture and other scope‑appropriate procedures.
  • Document patient care in the Electronic Medical Record per SMPA guidelines.
  • Prepare treatment rooms; assist front‑desk duties as required.
  • Participate in decision‑making and process improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively within and beyond the assigned team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and inventory of patient rooms, nursing station, and storage areas; manage product expiration and infection prevention standards.
  • Distribute referrals to physicians and insurers; keep proper documentation in patient charts.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Medical Assistant certificate required or must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
    • Current BLS certification required.
  • Work Experience
    • Medical Assistant certificate of completion or at least one year of experience.
    • Familiarity with medical terminology.
    • Experience with patient check‑in and check‑out processes per clinic protocol.
  • Knowledge
    • General medical office procedures.
    • Understanding of end‑of‑day cash balancing and charge reconciliation per clinic protocol.
  • Skills
    • Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems (e.g., Microsoft Office).
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Equipment Operated
    • Office equipment such as fax machine, copier, and telephone system.
    • EKG machine and other patient care testing equipment.
