Under the supervision of the Chef, responsible for production and distribution of foods for hospital patients, cafeteria and special functions as assigned.

Location: Englewood, NJ
Status: Part-Time
Shift: Variable
Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm / 11:30am-7:30pm. Weekend rotation required.
Assignment: Now - December 2025

• Upholds organizational values and service excellence standards, ensuring respectful, courteous, and confidential communication with customers, peers, and management.
• Prepares and cooks food for patients, cafeteria, and catering using standardized recipes, proper techniques, and safety protocols.
• Plans and coordinates cooking schedules to meet serving times while maintaining quality, temperature, and food safety standards.
• Supports food service operations by assisting with serving, catering setup, menu planning, recipe modifications, and food storage.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas and equipment, and responds to food complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.

• High School Graduate or GED or a minimum of 3 years full-time experience in a related field
• One year significant experience/institution cooking or equivalent.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic problems.
• Must be able to communicate with all dietary personnel, hospital employees and maintenance.
