Lorven Technologies is urgently searching for a highly skilled OTT Test Engineer to execute end‑to‑end testing on streaming applications across Smart TVs and OTT platforms. This role is essential for ensuring high‑quality video playback, app performance, and seamless user experiences across multiple devices.

As an OTT Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing both Live TV and VOD streaming applications on a variety of OTT devices such as Roku, Samsung TV, Apple TV, Smart TVs, and mobile platforms. You will validate video playback, UI flows, metadata accuracy, and device‑specific behaviors. The role requires strong experience using tools like Charles or Fiddler for network analysis, as well as Jira for defect tracking.

You will also contribute to light automation scripting using Java and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues and drive root‑cause analysis in a fast‑paced environment.

• Test OTT applications across Smart TVs, Roku, Samsung TV, Apple TV, and mobile devices
• Validate video playback, buffering, UI behavior, and application performance
• Perform testing for Live TV, VOD content, and metadata accuracy
• Analyze network logs using Charles Proxy and Fiddler
• Log, track, and manage defects using Jira
• Validate firmware updates and application releases across OTT devices
• Create basic automation scripts using Java and open‑source tools
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to resolve technical issues

• Proven experience testing OTT / streaming applications
• Hands‑on testing across Smart TVs and OTT devices (Roku, Samsung, Apple TV, etc.)
• Strong understanding of video playback validation and OTT UI testing
• Experience with Charles Proxy or Fiddler for network and API analysis
• Proficiency with defect tracking tools such as Jira
• Basic automation scripting skills using Java
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
• Must be local to Englewood, NJ and able to start onsite from Day 1

• Experience in OTT test automation frameworks
• Familiarity with CDN behavior and streaming protocols (HLS/DASH)
• Exposure to performance or load testing for streaming apps
• Knowledge of device‑specific certification guidelines (Roku/Samsung/Apple TV)
• Understanding of analytics events and player telemetry
