Medical Assistant

Overview

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a highly motivated, friendly, part time Medical Assistant. Schedule is Monday - Wednesday. We are a multi-location practice with locations in Englewood, NJ, West New York, NJ, Fort Lee, NJ, Riverdale, NY and Bardonia, NY. Hiring for our Englewood location.

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any inquiries or concerns while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for patients
• Room and perform vitals signs
• Take a detailed History of present illness
• Prior authorizations for medications
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
• Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, and scanning documents

• Able to reliably commute to your scheduled location. Must be able to commute to at least 2 of our other locations as needed. (Tolls to our Riverdale location reimbursed for NJ residents)
• Completion of Medical Assisting course preferred or relevant experience
• Valid CPR Certification
• 2 years of previous experience in a healthcare setting. Physical Therapy or Pain Management a plus!
• Excellent multitasking, organizational and organizational skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
