Art Teacher - Studio Art - Part time Weekends — One River School of Art + Design, Englewood, NJ

Pay: $25-$35 Per Hour

• Teach Studio Art Classes:
  Teach weekly art classes from 3pm to 7pm during the week and during the day on Saturdays and Sundays for a variety of ages.

• Ensure Student Success:
  Ensure student success in the studio and lab by actively engaging with students and teachers to observe, document and communicate their progress and opportunities for growth.

• Provide Hospitality Service & Communication:
  Conduct proactive check-ins with parents, students and families, support makeup scheduling, discuss student progress and opportunities for growth, upsells to additional classes / camps.

• Implement One River Methodology Curriculum:
  Review lesson plans/resources on time and implement the One River Method through each class effectively and contribute to lesson plan development regularly.

• Run a best-in-class studio:
  Clean and organize studio spaces and student artwork and keep track of art supplies.

• BA/BS in Visual Art, Art Education or Design (Master’s a plus) or equivalent professional experience.

• 3+ years experience teaching visual arts for K–12 and/or adults.

• Track record of high-quality instruction, classroom management, and student progress.

• Clear communicator, organized, and energized by a busy studio environment.

• Passion for art history, contemporary art and a “students-first” mindset.
