Overview
CDL/Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver (CDL Required). A great opportunity to utilize your driving experience, traveling within the Denver Metro area. All local driving; you’ll be home every night.
Shift
: 7 am to 3:30 pm (may vary according to business needs). Weekend availability is a must.
Pay
: $25.50 to $26.50 per hour DOE. This position is eligible for Daily Pay. Full Time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Disability, Life and voluntary benefits, paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday, floating holiday, jury duty and bereavement leave). The Driver, CDL will travel using intercity routes including local roads, interstates, and highways. The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for transporting goods using a tractor-trailer. Due to constant contact with customers, CDL Truck Drivers provide excellent customer service with an "Attitude of Gratitude" to support the organization’s mission.
Essential Functions- Provide excellent customer service with an "Attitude of Gratitude."
- Load/unload cargo and secure load as required by FMCSA and Colorado Department of Transportation.
- Keep accurate records of cargo delivered and related logs.
- Conduct pre/post trip safety checks and inspections of truck and trailer; report defects to Transportation and Logistics Manager.
- Plan travel routes to ensure safety and timeliness.
- Cross-train in other departments and act as back-up as required.
- Stand-in for long-haul operations as a short-term solution, following FMCSA Hours-of-Service rules.
- Support transportation operations across Retail Support Centers.
- Proficient with tire chain-up/down procedures when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- A current and valid Commercial Driver's License with valid medical certification is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of CDL truck driving experience is preferred but not required. Must have an established safe driving record.
- Understand and follow Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
- Able to read and follow maps.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs, and use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
- Able to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays with overtime as necessary.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
- A valid CDL endorsement is required.
- The incumbent must have the ability to drive for company business.

:
Per auto insurance carrier requirements, applicants/employees must meet minimum age requirements for driving Goodwill fleet vehicles or receiving mileage reimbursement. Ages: 19 for driving Goodwill non-passenger vehicles, 21 for CDL, 25-70 for passenger transportation services.
Applicants/employees will undergo Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and background check; disclose moving violations or crashes within the last five years. Must have a valid Colorado State driver license and be able to operate company vehicles in accordance with laws. If using personal vehicle for company business, must have valid insurance and be roadworthy.
Candidates offered this position will be required to successfully complete pre-employment screening, which could include: background check, drug test, reference check, employment verification, education verification, fingerprinting, and/or MVR. Continued screening may be required.
